The Global String

The Global String is a macOS app for working with localization files such as .xcstrings and .strings. This Privacy Policy explains how the app handles your data.

What the app accesses

The app only accesses files and folders that you explicitly choose. It does not scan, upload, or read files from your Mac unless you select them through the app.

How your data is processed

Localization content is processed locally on your device. Translation features use Apple's on-device capabilities when available. Your strings, catalogs, and project files are not sent to my servers.

Data collection

I do not collect personal data, analytics, crash reports, tracking data, or advertising identifiers through The Global String.

Local storage

The app may store local preferences on your device, such as selected languages, recent settings, and translation memory entries you create while using the app. This information stays on your device.

Sharing

I do not sell, rent, or share your data with third parties.

Your control

• You choose which files or folders the app can access.
• You can remove app data by deleting local app preferences on your device.
• You can stop using the app at any time.
