Husky Metadata Cleaner

Last updated: May 9, 2026

Husky Metadata Cleaner is a Windows desktop app that removes or randomizes metadata from photos and videos entirely on your device. This Privacy Policy explains how the app handles your files and data.

What the app accesses

The app only accesses files that you explicitly add by dragging them into the window, using the Add Files button, or selecting a folder. It does not scan your device or open any file unless you choose it.

How your files are processed

All metadata reading, cleaning, and randomization is performed locally on your device using ExifTool, which is bundled with the app. Your files are never uploaded to any server or sent over the internet for processing.

Internet access

Husky Metadata Cleaner does not require an internet connection. It has no network features and makes no outbound connections at any time.

Data collection

I do not collect personal data, usage analytics, crash reports, advertising identifiers, or any tracking data through Husky Metadata Cleaner.

Metadata randomization

The optional Randomize feature replaces existing metadata with plausible but entirely fictitious values, such as a random GPS location, a random camera make and model, and a random date. All randomization is done locally. The fake values are generated on your device and are not derived from or transmitted to any external service.

Output files

Cleaned or randomized copies are saved only to the location you choose. The app does not retain copies of your files and does not store file contents after the window is closed.

Sharing

I do not sell, rent, or share your data or files with third parties.
